Safe
Safe originated from the idea of a meaningful creation to help post-surgery patients cope with post-surgery depression and overwhelming emotions.

Frequently, post-surgery patients find themselves feeling not understood despite the presence of loved ones, as their experiences may be difficult for others to understand. Understanding this challenge and backed by thorough research, I've crafted an app aimed at fostering connection among post-brain surgery patients who share similar journeys. The intent is to cultivate a community tailored to alleviating the emotional distress commonly faced by these individuals.
Breaking down Safe app
01
What makes social apps so appealing and encourage users to share content?
Emotions act as a powerful motivator, fueling individuals to seek validation through likes or compliments on their posts. The surge of dopamine they experience reinforces their desire for engagement and validation. This drive leads them to cultivate and strengthen relationships, as well as advocate for causes they believe in by spreading awareness.
02
Why is it important to understand what makes social apps appealing?
With a deeper understanding of the core principles driving social media sharing, my goal is to integrate these aspects into Safe app, tailored to fulfill the emotional requirements of post-brain surgery patients.
03
Why I chose muted colours.
Muted colours encourages serendipity. The vivid colours are tone down to have a more calming effect, it allows the patient to feel safe as opposed to colours that screams "all attention on me". A pop of vivid colour does add life to the overall aesthetic, the muted colours palette are the main colours I've used to design the app.
